Lalov and Vachev Ltd has been founded more than 15 years ago and it is now one of the fastest developing meat processing companies in the country. For the management of each department and its specific processes, numerous software applications were used but they could no longer serve the ever growing business and its needs. Some of the problems the company faced were difficulties in production planning, lack of integration of interrelated data, and limited capabilities for diverse reports and analyses.

The dynamic development, wide scope and problematic access to data, along with the lack of integration between the different software solutions become a reason for the management to initiate an investigation of the ERP market.

At the end of 2010, the team at Lalov and Vachev chose Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and the project partner that had to make the system run properly was Intelligent Systems.

In less than five months from the start of the implementation project, Lalov and Vachev Ltd has already had the manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, sales, financial, accounting and others activities joined in real time integration. Intelligent Systems also deployed NAVfood. This is a vertical solution specially developed to meet all the needs of companies from Food and Beverage industry. It facilitates activities such as raw materials management, lot tracking, direct and indirect costs, planning and production control, meat explosion orders, reports and analyses, and many more.

To improve the communication with the outlets and the order processing activities, Intelligent Systems installed EDI (electronic data interchange) application next to the ERP system. The daily routines of mobile salespeople and warehouse workers have also been enhanced by a mobile front-end to Microsoft Dynamics NAV called Dynamics Mobile. Having it installed on mobile devices, employees are guaranteed with constant and secure access to the database. Thus, they make purchases in real time and work more efficiently and with fewer mistakes.
