Romania has introduced RO e-Transport electronic system for tracking the road transportation of high tax risk goods to become mandatory as of January 1, 2023. The goal of ANAF in system implementation is to reduce tax evasion, reduce the VAT gap and prevent illegal trade in domestic transactions or intra-community deliveries.
To automate the process of submitting e-Transport documents to the Romanian Financial Authorities, the Intelligent Systems team developed Romanian e-Transport add-on for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The app is in line with the requirements of the local tax legislation for tracking goods with high fiscal risk, exported and imported. High tax risk products categories include fruits, vegetables, alcoholic beverages, salt, etc.
Romanian e-Transport utilizes the sending of notifications and confirmations to the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) in Romania for the transportation of goods.
The application automates the e-Тransport reporting process of financial documents creation and submission. Moreover, it saves time by reducing the repetitive actions when submitting many documents and facilitates creation of an unlimited number of transport documents.
The tool generates a structured .xml file that contains data about the sender and the recipient, the goods’ characteristics and value, the loading and unloading locations, and information on the mode of transportation. Authorization from ANAF is received with the ITU code once the goods transportation has been reported.
The application successfully passed the Microsoft certification process and is available in AppSource.
