More than 300 Microsoft Dynamics implementations in Bulgaria

On April 05, 2012 in Sheraton Hotel, Sofia, were gathered managers of over 80 of the leading manufacturing companies in Bulgaria. The IT in MANUFACTURING conference, organized by Microsoft Bulgaria and Intelligent Systems, is part of a series of events dedicated to key for the Bulgarian economy sectors. The seminar aimed mainly to meet the participants with the latest IT trends and innovations, to present the opportunities in front of their companies and to offer solution to some of the IT challenges that manufacturing companies in our country most frequently face.

The opening keynotes were given by Microsoft Bulgaria’s General Director, Mr. Georgi Randelov. “Microsoft made a long term investment in creating powerful, flexible, and user-friendly Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions for the manufacturing industry. Powerful, because they meet the traditional challenges of the companies in the field, along with the new ones caused by the dynamic environment we live in. Flexible, because they give companies the opportunity to satisfy the constantly changing customers’ needs, supply and manufacturing capacity. And user-friendly because they let users find, use and share information without limits”, Mr. Randelov said.

Lachezar Bogdanov from Industry Watch gave a presentation about the developments in the manufacturing sector in the year that passed, the opportunities, and most probable scenarios for the Bulgarian companies in 2012. According to the survey, in 2011 for the first time since 2008 there was growth in foreign investments in the country. At the same time Bulgaria grows faster and with smaller risks in comparison to the other EU countries.

Main manufacturing processes that can be seized, optimized, and accurately traced through suitable IT tools were presented by Boyan Martinov from Intelligent Systems Bulgaria. The company also announced that that there are more than 300 Microsoft Dynamics implementations in Bulgaria and a big part of them are in manufacturing companies. This once again proves their applicability to the organizations in this sector.

The presentation of Lorenzo Pego, ERP Lead CEE Region, evoked huge interest. He talked more about Microsoft’s vision of the business management software solutions for the manufacturing companies. Mr. Lorenzo Pengo is one of the leading experts of the software giant in Europe, with many years of experience in integrating IT technologies in manufacturing companies all over the world. His revealed that Microsoft invests $9.5 billion per annum in the development of Microsoft Dynamics business solutions.

Kalin Tzvetanov demonstrated how the QlikView BI solution can be used by companies to track KPIs.

All participants had the opportunity to discuss important topics, related to the manufacturing IT technologies at a cocktail held after the conference.  They also had the possibility to meet and share experience with companies that already use integrated management solutions in their businesses.
