Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 now in Bulgaria

In June 2008, as planned, the version Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 was released on the the Bulgarian market. Bulgaria was in the second group of countries in which Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 was directly released with Service Pack 1.

Now more than ever, users can benefit from the functional improvements of the new version of the most popular business management system in Bulgaria. It is unique as it has more than 300 improvements based on feedback received from partners and customers of Microsoft worldwide. Improvements are mainly into three directions – Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform improvements, application improvements and new opportunities for integration with Microsoft Dynamics Mobile.

A number of general improvements in the application in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 were introduced:

  • Integration with Microsoft Office applications – export any forms of Microsoft Dynamics NAV in Microsoft Word or Excel using the Office XML with forms that vary according to specific needs of the client; improvements integrated with Microsoft Outlook
  • Approval of documents for sales and purchases – an opportunity to approve or reject the order and to include reasons and comments
  • Advance payments – generating pre-payment directly on a sales or purchase orders based on a percentage of the amount
  • Inventory costing – improved traceability, simplicity and more effective usability, a new periodic average costing method
  • Jobs – better integration to item ledger and tracking
  • Items tracking – improved consumption handling, pre-define expected use of spare parts and resources
  • Intercompany purchase cost distribution
  • Account schedules 

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 gives employees the opportunity to connect to the main database through applications installed on mobile devices Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0. Microsoft Dynamics Mobile will let partners develop their own mobile applications for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which will help their business grow and expand.
