Microsoft and Intelligent Systems opened a specialized lab in the Professional High School of Computing and Technology Systems

A brand new computer lab is built in the Professional High School of Computing and Technology Systems in the Town of Pravets. It is equipped by Intelligent Systems Bulgaria – the leader in implementation of Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM systems in Bulgaria, and licenses are provided by Microsoft.

The lab was officially opened on March 25, 2014 on a special event with the participation of Prof. D.Eng. Marin Hristov – Rector of the Technical University of Sofia, Vanya Dobreva – Chairperson of the Parliamentary Education and Science Committee, Atanaska Taneva – Deputy Minister of Education, Ivan Ivanov – Director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology at the Ministry of Education and Science, Kircho Atanasov – Member of Parliament of Coalition for Bulgaria and Member of the Education and Science Committee, Rumen Guninski – Mayor of the town of Pravets, and others.

The guests of the event were received by the Deputy Director of the Professional High School of Computing and Technology Systems Mr. Nedyalko Nedyalkov. He greeted the guests and thanked Microsoft and Intelligent Systems, emphasizing on the importance of this new initiative linking education and business.

Boyan Martinov, Sales Director of Intelligent Systems Bulgaria and alumnus of the school said, “I am very pleased that we were able to realize this project. We know how important it is for the students to have a direct contact with what awaits them in the real business environment following their graduation… This year Intelligent Systems had its 10^th anniversary. This caused us to look back and reminisce of all we have achieved throughout the past decade. We recalled the beginning, the difficulties, the challenges, and the successes. We realized that, with our over 200 carried-out projects in Bulgaria and abroad, we already have considerable experience and expertise, which we could share with the young people who are interested in the field of business software. Owing to the hard work and good coordination between the teams of Microsoft and Intelligent Systems, and Mr. Trifonov, Director of the school, we were able to equip and launch the lab very quickly. We hope that all those efforts will be rewarded with the knowledge, skills, and successful professional realization of the school’s graduates.”

The new computer lab introduces a course covering the popular business solutions in the Bulgarian high school educational system for the first time. Microsoft Dynamics are used by more than 300 of the leading companies in the country. Thus all students who have passed the course will have gained a considerable competitive advantage when applying for a job, as many employers already require knowledge of and ability to work with specialized business software. In order to be as close to the real business as possible, the lectures will be led by employees of Intelligent Systems Bulgaria instead of teachers. During the school term, specialists from different departments of the company will share their experience and solve real cases. Major topics will be the Microsoft Dynamics solutions – ERP and CRM, Cloud technologies, Windows environment, Virtualization, Mobile applications, and others. From the following school term the course enters the regular curriculum of the final year students.
