Leading food and beverage companies at the conference IT in Food Industry

On June, 8th 2011, at Hilton Hotel Sofia was held the first national conference on the latest IT technologies in the food industry – IT in Food Industry. The business event was organized by Microsoft Bulgaria, the leading Bulgarian Microsoft Dynamics partner – Intelligent Systems and the consulting company ICG. The conference welcomed managers of manufacturing and distributing companies, as well as business experts and specialists who presented the latest news, trends, and market opportunities in the branch. IT in Food Industry is a part of specialized business events for companies from key sectors in Bulgaria.

The attendees were welcomed by Mr. Georgi Randelov, General Manager at Microsoft Bulgaria and Mr. Kalin Tzvetanov, Managing Director at Intelligent Systems Bulgaria. “According to the independent agency CBN Pannoff, Stoytcheff & Co – Microsoft Dynamics are the most preferred business management systems in Bulgaria with 38% market share for 2010. This success is because they are focused on achieving the main company goals – improving business processes, optimizing corporate costs and increasing employees’ productivity. These results also depend on the high-class services our partners provide”, said Mr. Randelov.

During the conference, marketing specialists from Industry Watch Bulgaria presented interesting statistics in the sector, as well as the main economic indicators in the country and the region. The modern IT technologies and their significance for optimizing business processes in the company were the major focus on the seminar IT in Food Industry. It was demonstrated how using the right IT tool can help companies optimize their costs, increase the profit and achieve higher market share.

Mr. Boyan Martinov, Sales Manager at Intelligent Systems Bulgaria made an attractive presentation about the business management systems and their benefits to the companies in the food industry. He paid attention to the features and advantages of the popular BI solutions.

Mr. Milen Manchev, Director Microsoft Business Solutions, Microsoft Bulgaria delivered more detailed information about the Microsoft Dynamics product line and the business needs they meet.

The presentation of Mrs. Nadezhda Dinisheva, Partner Sales Manager at QlikTech was about the BI solutions as effective reporting and analizating tools and a platform for better decision making. She stressed on the latest news on the BI software and the rapidly evolving BI system – QlikView.

The regular process of selecting and implementing business management system in food companies was presented by Mr. Kalin Tzvetanov: “The success of these projects require an individual approach. It is necessary to analyze accurately all business processes and to estimate correctly the needs of the company in order to avoid as many implementation difficulties as possible. The business processes in the food and beverage companies are complex and it is crucial to have them integrated into one single platform. This way we ensure their successful running”, commented Mr. Tzvetanov.

EU funding opportunities for implementing ISO standards and IT technologies and innovations were also presented during the conference. The European funding programs were presented by Mr. Georgi Gryncharov, Managing Partner at the leading consulting company Inter Consult Group.
