Intelligent Systems enhances reporting and aftersales service for manufacturer of medical and safety technology Dräger

With the goal of enhancing service management & aftersales maintenance, accountancy operations, protocols creation automation and reporting, Intelligent Systems introduced an efficient management tool at Dräger Bulgaria.

Intelligent Systems provided Microsoft Dynamics NAV for the local subsidiary of the global company Dräger in 2012. Some years later, in 2022, following the consortium’s decision for effective centralized reporting at a group level, Intelligent Systems convinced the Dräger team that there is the need for an upgrade of its ERP system and implemented a core functional template, based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Current landscape

The project assignment from the customer Dräger Bulgaria, was to introduce efficient management of item nomenclature and pricing structures. The completion of the Dynamics 365 Business Central upgrade project and alignment to the group template streamlined some key business processes:

• Enhanced reporting for spare parts that gives more accurate production planning based on demand & forecast;
• Efficient management of items and pricing;
• Tracking equipment per customer and location;
• Providing extended service warranty and contract management;
• Service protocol automation and more.

In addition, the spare parts ordering process is now far more efficient with enhanced reporting functionality, enabling quicker shipping of the required items.

The global template also enabled more detailed and consolidated reporting as per the group’s requirements. After the upgrade project was completed, the customer Dräger Bulgaria is now able to fully align its software landscape to the group-level business activities.
